Students will read a sentence with a missing word and then use a bank of "sl" blend words to choose a word that would accurately fit in the space.  There are ten questions.

This science reading product was created to teach my students the importance of reading instructions, reading technical instructions, and of course, bringing awesome science into the reading curriculum.

Two volcano vocabulary activity worksheets. The first one is a 20-word search. The word search contains images of a shield, cinder, and composite volcano. There are some fun volcano puns that encourage reading and are fun to share. The second worksheet is a crossword puzzle containing a word bank with more words than students need. This helps eliminate students counting how many boxes there are for each word.

This is a simple version of Snakes and Ladders.  I use this with my 3rd-grade students as one of many game boards they can choose from when using game cards.  This Snakes and Ladders is in the style of St. Patricks Day.

This web tool can allow teachers to build images that represent fractions of circles/pies or polygons.  It is simple to use.  Just say how many equal parts you want to be represented and then how many parts to shade.  You can also determine the line width, shade color, and rotate the shape.  Once finished take a screen show of the picture or right-click and save the image.

This website allows students and teachers to visually explore fractions and how they relate to mixed numbers, decimals, and percents.  You can set it up by area, region, or set of items.  Once you select a fraction it will then demonstrate to students how that relates to mixed numbers, decimals, and percents.

Show students how to use protractors and rulers in this interactive website.  Teachers can also easily show polygons and quadrilaterals.  Shape color size, and angle are easily changed from one shape to another.  You can use this shapes website to show interior and exterior angles.  Arcs can also be manipulated.

In this game, students will identify a fraction and then shoot the correct bubble that contains that particular fraction.  As kids get better the bubbles get faster and more fractions to choose from.

This is a one-minute video that demonstrates to students that shapes can be evenly split and that each piece is one equal part of the whole shape.
