Fraction Comparison – Drawing Edition is an interactive, student-friendly web game that builds fraction sense by combining visual modeling, drawing, and quick decision-making.

Students are shown two fractions and must decide whether the first is less than (<), greater than (>), or equal to (=) the second by clicking a large comparison symbol. To support reasoning (instead of guessing), the game provides four math models (two circles and two rectangles) on a dedicated drawing board where students can sketch, shade, partition, and compare using a pen, color choices, and an eraser.

The experience runs as a 3-minute timed round with a live score tracker, instant feedback sounds for correct/incorrect answers, and automatic new problems after each response. A “New Question” button lets students skip (with a small score penalty), and “Clear Drawing” resets the workspace at any time—making it ideal for centers, intervention groups, fast finishers, or whole-class practice on a smartboard.

Designed for easy classroom use, this resource works in the browser with mouse or touch input, encourages mathematical explanation through drawing, and keeps students engaged with a game-style format while practicing comparing fractions with different denominators.
