Perimeter Word Problem Game – Multiplayer

Perimeter Word Problem Game – Multiplayer is an engaging, classroom-ready math game that helps students practice perimeter through realistic word problems involving rectangles and squares. Students read a scenario, choose the correct unit (inches, centimeters, feet, meters, or yards), and calculate the total distance around an object or space. With a built-in timer and rotating turns, this game keeps learners focused while building accuracy and confidence with perimeter skills.

Find the Total Area Game

Find the Total Area of Two Rectangles (3.MD.C.7) is a timed, interactive math game where students solve area problems by building and analyzing rectangles like a “garden plan.” Players work with adjacent rectangles and L-shaped figures, using the distributive property and missing side length reasoning to find the area of each part and the total area.

Area by Tiling Game

Area Arrays by Tiling Game • Grade 3 (3.MD.C.7a) is an interactive, game-style math activity that helps students understand area as the total number of unit squares in a rectangle. In each round, students work with rows and columns (arrays) to connect visual models to multiplication.

Students complete two types of challenges:

Area and Perimeter Tic-Tac-Toe

Area & Perimeter Tic-Tac-Toe is an interactive, two-player math game that blends classic tic-tac-toe strategy with Grade 3 measurement concepts aligned to 3.MD.C.8. Players take turns selecting an empty square on a 3×3 board, then must correctly solve an area and/or perimeter challenge to earn the right to place their X or O. If a player answers incorrectly (or runs out of time), they do not place a mark and the turn passes to the other player.

Area Worksheet

This worksheet has 9 questions relating to the area.  Students will draw the area.  They will find the total area of two rectangular shapes. They will find the area of a complex shape. They will use an array to help find the area.
