This is a 15 word blank spelling test paper handout.

This is a spelling test based on the 'fr' spelling blend pattern.  Hand out the paper to students after teaching the rule and sounds.  Have the students fold the words back behind the paper.  Administer the spelling test.  When complete students unfold the words and self-correct.  Any word they missed they spell three times on the provided lines.

This is a spelling test I use to see if students have learned the spelling pattern 'th' digraph.  After the phonics lesson, I have the students fold over the spelling words to the back.  I administer the test.  Students then unfold the words and self-correct.  Any word that is misspelled, they spell correctly along the line 3 times.

Students will read a story that is missing some words with the 'o'-'e' spelling patterns and then using the word bank place the correct words into the blanks.  This can also be taught during a unit on problems and solutions in reading.

This worksheet contains 10 lines and 10 clues to some 'o' consonant 'e' spelling patterns words.  Students will use the item bank and the clues to place the words in alphabetical order.

After reviewing 'o' consonant 'e' spelling patterns, they are given 5 minutes to study words we have worked with throughout the week.  After 5 minutes, students fold the paper along the line so that the words are hidden.  Administer the spelling test.  Have them self-grade and then write any word they missed 3 times on the line.

This worksheet will work with students on 'o' consonant 'e' words.  Students will first use clues to identify a word that is missing some letters.  Then they will write that word 3 times on the line.
