This is a spelling test based on the 'fr' spelling blend pattern.  Hand out the paper to students after teaching the rule and sounds.  Have the students fold the words back behind the paper.  Administer the spelling test.  When complete students unfold the words and self-correct.  Any word they missed they spell three times on the provided lines.

This is a spelling test I use to see if students have learned the spelling pattern 'th' digraph.  After the phonics lesson, I have the students fold over the spelling words to the back.  I administer the test.  Students then unfold the words and self-correct.  Any word that is misspelled, they spell correctly along the line 3 times.

You can use the Google Doc link to make your own copy and then change words that might not be the best fit for your students.

See if your students understand how to spell words with the 'tr' blends phonics spelling pattern.  There are 20 words in the spelling list.  Have your students fold the words to the back of the paper, administer the test, then have them self-correct the test by unfolding the words.  For every word they miss they write them 3 times on the provided lines.

Check to see if your students can spell words based on the phonics spelling pattern, 'ai' and 'ay.'  This spelling test has 20 words.  Students fold over the words to the back, the teacher administers the test, and the students can then unfold the words and self-correct.  For every word they miss, they need to spell it 3 times correctly.

After reviewing 'o' consonant 'e' spelling patterns, they are given 5 minutes to study words we have worked with throughout the week.  After 5 minutes, students fold the paper along the line so that the words are hidden.  Administer the spelling test.  Have them self-grade and then write any word they missed 3 times on the line.
