Here is a quick video animation that demonstrates how Phagocytosis gets rid of bacteria from in the body.  

This animated and narrated video demonstrates how a flu virus exits one person and enters another.  Then it visually describes how the virus will be welcomed into a cell where it will replicate its DNA.  There is a great part that shows some Phagocytosis as your body tries to destroy the virus.

The TED video is a feature of Sam who has Progeria, a genetic disorder that causes children to take on appearances of old age.  This would be a great video to show biology students during your unit on genetics.  Also, it would be great just to show a class how somebody with health issues can still be successful and happy.

This video discusses how scientists are taking plants and creating fuel and energy with it.  Biological concepts are also taught about breaking down cellulose and harnessing the sugars that can then be turned into biofuel through the process of fermentation.

How do scientists know the patterns of bird migration?  This video demonstrates how science over the years has evolved in its discovery of bird migration knowledge.  Crazy to think that some historical scientists believed that birds migrated to the moon.

Here is a quick tribute to Rosalind Franklin the lady scientist who helped discover the double-helix shape of DNA.

If you are just getting ready to teach a lesson on DNA, you might want to use this video to introduce the concept.  It does a good job explaining what DNA is and how small or large it is.

This "Stated Clearly" video discusses what genes actually are.  This video does an excellent job breaking down and demonstrating what genes actually are.  It also talks about how genes are used to produce hardy vegetables and other applications humans have developed..  Vocabulary used are: Nucleotides, Proteins, Hemoglobin, Pepsin, Keratin, Insulin

This animated "Clearly Stated" video does a great job describing and showing what DNA actually is. It goes furth discussing how the RNA leaves the nucleus and enters a ribosome in order to create proteins.  Vocabulary used are:  Amino Acids, DNA, Proteins, Cells, Tissue, Organs, Organism, Nucleus, and RNA.

This short animation explains how DNA can get a mismatch mutation and how the body repairs such an error.
