The Darvaza Gas Crate Man Made Environmental Mistake

Here is an interesting man/nature made landform found in Turkmenistan.  This video describes how scientists search for oil and natural gas created a crater on accident.  The crater leaked methane, so they thought they would just burn it off.  Well, decades later it is still burning.  This video discusses the science and history behind the phenomena.
