This opinion writing worksheet contains 4 writing prompt questions for which students will restate the prompt and include 3 big ideas creating an introduction paragraph. 

This is a 20-word 'tr' phonics blend spelling test.  Students take 5 minutes to study the words, next they fold the spelling list back on the line, then the spelling test is administered, students unfold the words, self-check, and then write the words they missed a few times on the line.  A Google Doc version is also linked in case you want to change any of the words to customize it.

There are two to three words that are misspelled in each sentence. Students have a word bank they can use to help them write the correct spelling of the misspelled words on the lines provided.  There are ten sentences.  This worksheet has an emphasis on the 'tr' blends for phonics as well.

Students will practice their phonics 'tr' blend skill with the cloze reading worksheet. There are 10 questions with 14 'tr' words missing.  Students will use the word bank and pick the correct word to fill in the blanks.

This is a 'cr' blend spelling test.  There is a google doc link as well in case you want to mix up any of the words.  Students fold the words back, the test is then administered, students unfold the words to see how they do and then write any misspelled words a few times on the provided lines.

Students will read each of the 10 sentences and find 2 to 3 words that are misspelled.  There is a word bank in alphabetical order for some added help on how to correctly spell the words.

Students will practice writing some words with the 'cr' phonics blend.  There are 10 sentences with 'cr' blend words missing and students will choose the most correct word to put into the provided space.

This is a formative spelling test to see how students are understanding the 'ch' digraph when learning phonics.  Just have the students fold the words back, administer the test, and then have the students unfold it to compare how they did.  All words follow phonetic rules so there aren't any irregularly spelled words.

Students are presented with a list of 6 words, five of which are spelled incorrectly.  Students will circle the correct spelling of the word.  This is an emphasis on words that contain the 'ch' digraph.

'ch' digraph cloze reading worksheet.  There are 12 missing words with the 'ch' digraph and a word bank.  Students will place the correct words onto the lines provided.  The story is about Chester the Chimp who has and itch every time he chews on cheese.  Silly but fun story.
