In this money word problems worksheet, students will add and subtract dollar amounts to find out how much they would spend altogether, how much change they need back and figure out if they have enough money to purchase the items.  There are 8 money word problems in all.

In this spelling worksheet, students will read a sentence with one misspelled word in each sentence.  Students will rewrite each sentence correctly using the correct spelling.  The vocabulary words used are almost, among, time, cause, effect, glared, culture, description, minute, and prepare.

In this telling time worksheet, students will analyze 4 clocks and write down the time.  They will take a look at 5 empty clocks with the digital time written and then draw the clock faces.  At the bottom there is one division word problem that is used for a review and early finishers.

In this worksheet, students will tell the time by analyzing clock faces as well as drawing clock faces for digital time.  There are nine clocks.  There is also one multiplication review word problem question.

This website provides great student whiteboard activities for elapsed time.  There are two clocks that are completely changeable so that you can ask students what the elapsed time is.  I use the dice frequently because it provides completely random times.  You can hide one clock  and then give how many hours before or after that specific time and now your students have to either draw the time they calculate it to be and then unhide the clock so students can verify their calculations.  

In this video students will learn about volume and capacity.  Students will be shown how to decompose milliliters into liters.  The video talks about how capacity and volume relate.

In this worksheet, students will take everyday objects from the classroom and use balance scales to find the mass.  The students will first describe the object and then estimate the mass.  They will then weigh the object and write down that actual mass.  Finally, they will find the difference between the actual mass and the estimated mass.  Once students are finished they will sort the mass from lightest to heaviest.  The main purpose of this assignment is to have students make estimates and then use actual scales to find the mass.

In this equivalent and comparing fractions review worksheet students will demonstrate their understanding of fractions.  Students will illustrate their knowledge of comparing fractions using number lines and pie charts, the butterfly or cannon method of comparing fractions, a few word problems that compare fractions,s and finally demonstrate that they understand that a fraction with a denominator of 1 will be a whole number and a fraction that has the same denominator as the numerator is equal to one. 

In this 3rd-grade math activity, students will use three colors and design a pattern in a 5 x 5 grid.  They will then determine the fractions of each color.  At the bottom of the sheet, students will find fractions from a group of animals and flying machines.
